Hartsel, is at the heart of Colorado. Located at the geographic center of our beautiful state, we are an unicorporated community that covers about 750 square miles in the southern portion of South Park. Our population according to the Census Bureau is 677, but we think they might be forgetting to count Kenny and the other South Park characters.
The South Platte River (as seen in the photo above), runs through town. It, and the nearby Pike National Forest, provide both residents and visitors with plenty of opportunities to hike, fish, and enjoy the great outdoors.
